As a sports journalist, I get to attend functions and parties quite a lot. And as we all know that these types of events usually have a great variety of food, something of which I enjoy very much. I would eat every nice thing and wasn’t too worried about overweight I was despite having other people telling me about it. One day I work up gasping for air as I couldn’t breathe and I was so frightened. That was my wake up call and I decided to control my diet and start exercising. Thank to my PT who has helped and supported me along my journey, I have dropped from 120 kg to 60 kg. I have come such a long way, and I have no one to thank but me who never gave up. I did my first marathon 20 years ago and I got to the finish line barely alive since I didn’t have proper knowledge about it and wasn’t well prepared for it. I didn’t feel like doing much exercise then till the recent marathon booming which got me interested in it again. I wanted to do at least 50 km Ultra Trail run which would require the ultimate endurance and readiness of my body. So I decided to train with Fitness First’s PT and the first few attempts I couldn’t reach the finish line. But I never gave up training and I just recently completed the Ultra Trail Mt. Fuji '18 covering the total distance of 167 km, 8,037 meters of cumulative altitude and the 170 km Ultra-Trail Mont Blanc.
